Egypt Approves Launch of VoLTE Service

The National Telecom Regulatory Authority of Egypt (NTRA) has recently notified about the approval of voice calls service via 4G Technology (VoLTE). It is expected that the VoLTE will significantly improve the quality of services provided to citizens. The decision on launching the VoLTE service was made upon the request of such companies as Ericsson, Nokia, and Huawei seeking for the best possible quality and the fastest service to its customers.

The VoLTE provides high-quality audio calls for users in terms of voice purity and clarity and does not require any additional fees for that.

It should be noted that the NTRA approved the VoLTE service only after receiving the documents that all the necessary technical and regulatory requirements were met.

Thus, Telecom Egypt provides its services on the 700MHz, 1800MHz, and 2600MHz spectrum bands. It gives the best possible coverage on 700 MHz band and an excellent speed on 2600 MHz band.

Now devices using VoLTE technologies are subject to the NTRA approval.
